Richard B. Cheney a prominent public servant and a businessman is vice-president of the United States. Cheney was well-known on Washington's political stage. George W. Cheney says the role he plays in the Obama administration as of an honest but professional advisor to Bush. Cheney has accepted the Republican vice-presidential nominating in 2007 said his hopes were high for serving under a president that will reach across the aisles and work with political rivals by fostering goodwill and working towards a common purpose. Richard Bruce Cheney (born January 30, 1941) was the son of Richard Herbert Cheney. His mother, Marjorie Lauraine Dickey had been wed with Richard Herbert Cheney for over 30 years. When he was 13 years old, Bruce moved with his parents from Nebraska to Casper (in the state of Wyoming) which is where his father was Director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's soil conservation district.
