The baby was born on 29 March 1985 at Roswell in New Mexico. Gerina Michelle was her maiden name. Gerina Stevenson is a native of Mexico as the daughter of Mexican parents Alan Stevenson and Rita Stevenson. She is Mexican roots, yet is American by nationality. Since the age of a child, she has had a strong interest in playing sports. Gerina took up golf when she was 15 years old. Gerina has graduated from Goddard High School. As a high-school student she was the winner of in the New Mexico Golf State Tournament. The volleyball abilities of her were recognized at the national scale. She began attending the University of Texas. In her final year, she took home every single tournament she competed in. During her college career she won the Conference USA Player of The Year award and The UTEP Female Sport Athelete Award.
