April Lockhart

April Lockhart (born July 4 in 1995) began her musical journey at the age of 7 in which she began piano and guitar classes. In the seventh grade, April began taking guitar and piano lessons. It sparked her interest to write songs. When she was 14 April, she spent a lot of time writing and honed her music abilities. Then she began to take trips to write with father in NY as well as LA. April added other themes to the tune "Take My Hand" for a few of her the friends she had who struggled with issues such as peer pressurization disabilities, and even teenager suicide. Lockhart has her own fan base and works as a lifestyle blogger with the well-known Ilia the Clean Beauty brand. As a woman born with no left hand, she is a major part of herself. It's however not her entire story. Lockhart's profile on Twitter doesn't shy away from the fact that she is disabled, but neither does it make a point of it. It's a reminder. We all have multiple aspects of identities and that we are greater than the physical person we are. Lockhart, via video message sent from her Nashville at home, claims that I do not want that to be a part of me. I'm greater than the physical person I am. It doesn't impact my daily routine. I go about doing my job as normal and have come up with different ways of adapting. It's an integral aspect of my existence, and it's imperative that we talk about it. Lockhart has served as an excellent source of inspiration for her female friends in the area of acceptance of oneself. Even so, Lockhart admits having moments that made her feel uncomfortable about her appearance, and the clothes which displayed her arms. Today, she wears anything she wants. and she shares her pictures to social media. Self-love for her was a long journey. But, this isn't the case with anyone that is prone to doubts. I think it's essential to surround yourself with people who are able to discern and understand your heart.
