Laura Linney's performance of weak, yet strong characters has made her one of today's greatest American actors. After spending the summers in her father's company, Laura Linney became fascinated by theatre. Then she attended Brown University she studied acting and also at Juilliard School, after which she began her acting career. Beginning her career at the Broadway following her graduation, she made her debut in film within two years and on television in the year after. Since then, she has performed in many films and TV and stage productions. There have been numerous awards during her professional career. This includes the four Primetime Emmy Awards, two Golden Globe Awards, three Academy Award Nominations, and five Tony Award Nominations. Although she has received numerous awards, she still loves the theatre, and has appeared on both screen and stage.
