Katherine Heigl, the actress of "Grey's Anatomy," has herself about her experience of being born into the "white bubble" and how the revelation has affected the way she raises her adoptive multiracial children. In an interview, she said in the past that with regards to the color of her skin, it doesn't really matter. However, after talking to her sister, who was adopted by South Korea she realized just the different ways society treats people of different races. "I inquired of Meg whether she felt different when she went out with our parents and those who went out alone. She answered, "Oh yeah, always!" Heigl admitted to parents, "That made me realise how foolish I was." She became enraged by the incident, and decided to use that anger to assist her daughters who were adopted by her. Heigl has a four-year old son and a 13-year-old spouse, Josh Kelley. The couple adopted their daughters Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide 8 years old, who is Black and was adopted in 2012.
