Jenna Fischer was best known for portraying Pam Beesly (the character of The Office) on TV. The role she played brought her an Emmy nod for the best supporting Actress category. In addition, she was awarded two SAG Awards, both for outstanding performances by an ensemble cast in a comedy.
In Fort Wayne Indiana, she lived her entire childhood in St. Louis Missouri. Jenna watched her mom, Anne, perform in church plays when she was younger, which instilled a love of theater and performance.
After wrapping up The Office, Fischer, an actress trained in theater, returned to her roots. The Off-Broadway production Reasons for Being Happy was written and directed by Neil LaBute, with Josh Hamilton, Leslie Bibb and Fred Weller. The Old Globe Theatre's premiere, She starred opposite Greg Germann as well as Josh Stamberg in Steve Martin's hilarious comedy Meteor Shower.
The Office co-star Angela Kinsey and Fischer have launched Office Ladies, a podcast on Earwolf in the month of October. The podcast has been hugely successful, reaching its Top Ten worldwide every week with more than 200 million downloads during the first two years. Office Ladies was awarded the iHeart Radio Podcast of the year in January 2021.
She's also the co-author for Office BFF's Tales of The Office: From Two Best Friends The Office. The memoir deals with their friendship and the work they did on The Office.
